WTA players head ‘back to school’ at Harvard

Vania King, Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Andrea Petkovic and Caroline Wozniacki are going back to school.

The quartet of WTA stars are among 10 athletes participating in the Crossover Into Business program at Harvard University this fall.

The program is a semester-long initiative by Harvard in which professional athletes learn about business by working directly with current MBA students.

Built to help professional athletes be better prepared for business activities during and after their active sports careers, it matches athletes with a pair of Harvard Business School’s MBA student mentors.

These mentors help the athletes develop their business sense, and empower them to make better business decisions, all in a way that fits the athletes’ busy lives, is tailored to their interests, and leverages the Harvard Business School case method.
